From visible damage to a useful estimate
Why the final price can still change
The estimate is based on the information visible and selected online. Clips, mounting points, sensors, inner panels or parts hidden behind a bumper can only be assessed fully after inspection or dismantling.
That is why Pres clearly separates an online estimate from the final repair quotation.
Upload these four types of damage photos
How the calculator builds the damage price
Each selected panel is combined with the chosen repair activity. The overview keeps paintwork, dent repair, replacement work and combination benefits separate, so you can see where the estimate comes from.
The price of a replacement part is only final after availability and part choice have been checked.
Use the estimate as a first comparison
The calculator does not decide whether an insurance claim is financially preferable. It gives you a practical amount to compare with your excess, policy conditions and possible effect on claim-free years.
Common visible vehicle damage
- Scratches, paint damage and parking damage
- Dents and bumper damage
- Damage to several body panels
- Cars, vans, motorhomes and supported vehicle types

Frequently asked questions about the damage calculator
How accurate is the car damage calculator?
The calculator provides an initial estimate based on the vehicle, selected parts, repair work and uploaded photos. Hidden damage, broken mounting points, sensors and parts that only become visible after dismantling can change the final quotation.
Is the estimate free and non-binding?
Yes. Completing the public calculator does not create a payment obligation or repair order.
Which photos should I upload?
Upload one overview photo of the vehicle, one photo of the entire damaged panel, a close-up and a photo from an angle so dents and reflections are visible. Include adjacent panels and loose or broken parts where relevant.
Can I select more than one damaged part?
Yes. Add every damaged part separately so the estimate and combination calculation reflect the complete damage as closely as possible.
Does the estimate include VAT?
The public result clearly shows the applicable totals. The final quotation states the VAT treatment and any additional approved parts or work.
Are replacement parts included?
Replacement work and parts are treated separately. Availability, part quality and the choice between original, alternative or used parts can affect the final amount.
Can I use the calculator for a van or motorhome?
Yes. The public calculator supports several vehicle types, including cars, vans, motorhomes, two-wheelers, EV/hybrid vehicles and classic vehicles.
When should I not rely on an online estimate?
Contact us directly when the vehicle may be unsafe to drive, airbags have deployed, the wheel suspension or chassis may be damaged, or the damage followed a serious collision.
